Berczy Park - 2016 - Toronto, Ontario

Somerville is very excited about the recently completed Berczy Park. In 2016 and 2017 we undertook the “innovative and artful” restoration of Berczy Park which was designed by Claude Cormier & Associates. The project, situated between Front Street and Wellington Street adjacent to the Flatiron Building, included the reconstruction of Scott Street; a wide prominent central plaza with granite mosaic paving; grassy berms, garden beds and new trees; park benches and seating platforms; lighting and water filling stations; and a large two-tiered fountain with 27 dog sculptures. The park opened to the public in the summer of 2017.
